Wow...reading the question and (most) answers really frightens me with how blindly people will believe what is told to them.

Is it just me?

Well, sadly (yet ironically) enough, the first few things that went through my mind were blasphemies (Jee-zus H. f*cking Christ-on-a-raft, Holy sh*t, etc). Then I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having faith. Everyone needs to believe in something. What is scary is the level of blind religious fanaticism and self-righteous zealotry demonstrated by that posting, and in most of the answers. Those are the people who go on witch hunts and burn books. Creepy......

Before I answer this question, I want to first say that I won't be drawn into the "there is / isn't a God." It's a stupid argument, and not worth my time.

That being said, the fact that the girl pushed her boyfriend away instead of talking to him, and letting him know that she loves him but she won't have sex with him anymore shows that she wasn't mature enough to be having sex anyway, so it's for the best.

What's more, she sounds like the kind of teenager who thinks, "God loves me, so he'll keep me from getting pregnant or getting AIDS, so I don't have to use any condoms."

When I realize that there are still people in the world like this, it makes me glad that religion does still exist. Some people just don't have the ability to use LOGIC to guide their behavior. All they have to go by is GUILT.

It's not just you,but I understand what she is asking. Just because I may not believe, in the same way that you, do does not make me (or you) wrong. To quote Isiah 55:5, My thoughts are not your ways, neither are your thoughts mine.
One of the wonderful things about belief,is that we are free to choose what is right for each one of us.
Blind faith, in my faith, is a good thing for ME. But I can't speak for anyone else.
Peace...

I've stopped being frightened and just started preparing myself for the end of the world.

Religion helps many people with the trials of life.
She is really committed to her religion. She is not hurting anyone. As long as religion is not taken to the extreme where it starts to cause the believer to kill people, I'm fine with that.

People have different beliefs. Just because you don't believe in the same things, doesn't make it wrong. Don't knock what the poor girl said.

It's a bit unfair to say that people blindly believe what is told to them...

Is it blind belief because you disagree with them?

wow... that was the worst thing i've read all day... it's so hard to think that so many people feel that way...
I'm not sure what YOUR position is, but i think pre-marital sex is wrong, not sex.
and there most certainly is a 'god' and he most certainly does care.
