I am pretty sure my dad explained it to me once, but I have forgotten. Why couldn't we end world poverty by giving people who are poor a certain amount of money, if they don't spend it wisely then we don't give them another. That would get rid of alot of the poverty stricken areas I think.

Because, usually, when you're single you sleep on your bed, by yourself. I find it a lot more comfortable than sleeping with someone. Most people hint that they do it so they can be intimate, but that's one thing, and actual sleep is another.
So, why?

I live in Texas, but I'm a big University of Nebraska football fan - have been most of my life. One time when me and my dad went to a game in Lincoln, someone there was rude to him and he said "these are a bunch of yankees up here." I said "Nebraska?" He said yes, anyone from Kansas on up is a "yankee."

I never asked him to elaborate, but I never thought of Kansas or Nebraska being "yankee." But then again, what exactly IS a yankee, and do they act different?

When children play a game or sport for fun then that is all it is, just for fun. The rules change when they begin to play in competitive sports. Everyone hates seeing their kids sad but that's a sad truth of life and learning to deal with it is too. I know little Timmy's parents don't want him to be sad but rewarding him for loosing in a competitive sport doesn't create good character, it only empowers a state of mind of "I don't have to do anything and I'll still get rewarded". That I believe is setting up children up for failure. Rewarding them when they lose doesn't make them strive to be better or play harder, it only tells them that they can continue to do a half-*** job and they'll get a nice big reward. Won't that in turn create a group of whinny adults that want everything for nothing?

A six year old boy touched a 4 or 5 year old girl in the genital area. The school notifed the parents of the girl. The girls parents now want to press charges against the parents of the boy for child molestation.
I really think this has gone to far. Yes the child should be talked to about right and wrong. However, I feel this may have been a case of pure curiosity. What are your opinions?

The awful behaviour of our forefathers treating people as slaves 200 years ago is rightly criticized today.
How will the public think about our policy of putting chickens in the completly unnatural huge crowded sheds, feeding them antibiotics for rapid growth, damaging their delicate bodies, and the caged hem torture we subject other creatures to in another 200 years time, if we humans are still here?

It is very clear to me that if nudity was common place there would far less stress on our society. It would completly disarm most of societys hang ups and stupidity.
