here in scotland we have had the ban for over a year now. its been great for non smokers like myself but as a smoker would this make you think twice about going out for a drink etc.

Whenever I go to grocery stores, I bring two of my own large canvas shopping bags because I don't want to waste the store's plastic bags. I bought the canvas bags at one grocery store but other stores are willing to use them too when I bring them. Many times the stores will only put a few items in those plastic bags and you end up coming out with ten or more plastic bags. I went to a grocery store last night and the cashier wouldn't use the bags that I brought. She just didn't want to move her plastic bags aside and use the ones that I brought so I ended up bagging my own groceries. Was she right? I'm a paying customer and I'm only trying to save the environment. Just don't know if this has happened to someone else and whether I should have complained to the manager. Please let me know so I will know what to do next time.

I have noticed that on occassion, certain women will go out of their way not to have me stand behind them while online at a store. All different stores, it doesn't really matter. This seems very strange to me and even slightly psychotic. Does anyone know what this is about or have they experienced it? I certainly am not abnormal looking, nor do I exhibit abnormal behavior. This doesn't happen all the time, but just often enough for me to notice.

I do not mean this question to be offensive in any way. I am simply pondering my own observation.
The company I work for, in my estimation, is 85% white, 5% Asian, 5% black and 5% other. Everyone is very cordial to one another, but it seems that there is always a table of all black people in the cafeteria. I often see a table with 5 or 6 white people and 1 or 2 black people, but never see a table with 5 or 6 black people and 1 or 2 white people. Why is that?
It also seems that when a new black person starts working here, all of the other black people will talk to that person, but if a new white person starts working here, none of the black people make any special effort to talk to them. What is the reason for this?
Again, I apologize if I have offended anyone. This is only the way it SEEMS to me, and I do not claim this to be absolute fact, only my own observation.

i recently lived in brazil for 4 years & it was ridiculous, the majority of men expect that the woman do as she is told & not have her own thoughts & opinions...many men would prefer that their women remain home, cooking, cleaning & caring for children all the day, then catering to the man`s needs when he arrives home from work...it`s a very-male dominated society...sadly, physical abuse toward women in those countries is also high...how is it possible that women will put up with this type of thing??? lol i guess i`m just too independent & outspoken, but i offended many a man in brazil!!! so i say, good for me!!!

My wife is 8 months pregnant with our first child and has enjoyed the pregnancy. I think she looks absolutely beautiful. Before pregnancy she weighed around 115 lbs, She exercises and is always at the gym. But she has put on about 60 lbs in the past 8 months, which I have no problem with. We were recently at a friend’s birthday . I heard my newlywed friend’s wife say “ She ballooned and she looks like that dress is going to explode, its practically bursting!. Boy she looks like sh*t!!! She spent the night laughing every time she was near us. I am very close with my friend and was very shocked when I heard his wife make this comment. We have always been very gracious to them, and have taken them away on vacation and out to dinner many times. How do I handle this? I was about to punch her

I ran this before and it was pretty good so here we go again...

....the Fact that I will get like 5 people "yelling" at me that I am idiot for "wasting" 5 points asking this question, like these points actually matter for ANYTHING in the development of the Universe.

I see them comment on people daily and sit here and wonder if they realize THEY are the loosers, because they actually care!

Wealth is finite. Not everyone can have it. Therefore, does the country work to keep people poor in the interest of keeping the rich in power (as well as thinning out the rich as well) We can't all have money otherwise no one would be rich.
