Expectant Wife made fun of at Party by close friend?

My wife is 8 months pregnant with our first child and has enjoyed the pregnancy. I think she looks absolutely beautiful. Before pregnancy she weighed around 115 lbs, She exercises and is always at the gym. But she has put on about 60 lbs in the past 8 months, which I have no problem with. We were recently at a friend’s birthday . I heard my newlywed friend’s wife say “ She ballooned and she looks like that dress is going to explode, its practically bursting!. Boy she looks like sh*t!!! She spent the night laughing every time she was near us. I am very close with my friend and was very shocked when I heard his wife make this comment. We have always been very gracious to them, and have taken them away on vacation and out to dinner many times. How do I handle this? I was about to punch her

It's obvious that woman was never pregnant!!! The main person that you have to deal with is your wife and her feelings about that situation, and however she feels about it, support her regardless of how you feel. I would have to admit though, when that woman said "Boy she looks like sh*t!!!" I think I would of came unglued, regardless of what my wife felt like!!! If at all possible...listen to your wife, cause she is very sensitive right now, which you already know by now, and to support her.
