The one I've used for a long time when the born again wackos start in on me is "pardon me, I got it right the first time." I like it, I think it's good, but I would like to freshen up my arsenal. Any suggestions?

Running into a born againer can take many forms. Here's a few examples that have happened to me over the years:

1. Standing in line to get into a bar to have a few beers with friends. Some religious nut stands in the street and starts yelling at all of us that we must be born again or live a life of eternal hell.

2. You have a co-worker, you are introduced to someone, etc. who pops right out with a "have you taken jesus h christ as your saviour?" or something like that.

I've found that most born againers are former alcoholics, drug addicts, etc. who have moved on to their new addiction to god and feel the need to cram it down the throats of perfectly decent people who don't need it.

It sounds like you've been harassed by someone, or maybe a lot of people.

Does it make you feel better to be able to bite back at them? Even in their own way, they are just trying to help you out.

Maybe one day you'll run across one that's worth talking to.

I'm not sure what you mean by "born againers start" attacking you but my retort for anyone trying to talk against me when they are not perfect is either to take it to be graceful or to flat out ask what they have done better in the same siutation.

Leave me alone or you shall be meeting your final resting place in a few seconds.
