Will never happen. Today to success in political, you need to be rich, bribes your way around, black mail other, etc...

Plus politicals are control by corporate today. NO WAY in world the corporate would even dare to hand a such power over to common man or woman. They doesn't want to make only 3 to 5% gain per items they sell, they want to make as much as they can.
