The first nation to press the 'big red button' and start a nuclear war, would then start a chain of retaliation nuclear missile launches from other nations.
In that situation, it is said you will have approx 30 mins before total world destruction.
What would you do with that last 30 mins of existance?

The stated goal of affirmative action is to counteract past and present discrimination sufficiently that the power elite will reflect the demographics of society at large. My question to you then is, is affirmative action a good tool to help level the playing field, or does it play to the idea that people are different and should be treated differently.

i do not believe it is right, it is unjust to love those who cause this much suffering on purpose, it is a crime against love and compassion when we love those who hurt the inoccent so badly, let me know what you think, thanks

I'm a first year at Trinity. I'm studying to be a surgeon one day. I'm very focused since I know what I want. I never settle for less of an A, even A- is not good enough for me. So I try to do my best at everything. This all sounds great, but then I isolate myself. I force myself to be so focused that I feel like I'm driving my friends away. Haha, the fact is I don't even have that many friends at all, and I'm isolating myself from the only friends that I have. I have a great family, and my best friends and my boyfriend are all back home. I think I need to stress that because I'm not a complete anti-social freak. I guess I'm just so ambitious and determined that I don't want anything to get in my way. Am I doing the right thing? Whenever I hang out with my friends at school, I feel like I'm taking out time that I could used for studying. I love studying, to be honest. I'm passionate about learning things. Learning makes me feel alive. But is this imbalance good?

My male supervisor doesn't like me because I am very honest person.
He likes to say untrue things about me to all my co-workers. He likes to
give me bad performance evaluations.

What does this say about him?

White people get so much grief about being racist, but it is seen more and more form other races these days. I watched a basketball player say "white people suck at sports that it why so many black people rull in sports. It is us black people that make it possible to have competetive sports". What is up with that? I haven't watched basketball since, no big loss, cause of raceist pigs that seem to be out there.

This is simple. All I want someone to do, is follow the instructions I gave to the people who tried to answer my earlier post. My battery was malfunctioning and I asked for help. You can read about what I told them to do after I solved the problem myself, but they did not do it. I want someone to win for Pete's sakes, but they just don't deserve it. SO the first person to answer this post( write anything you want) and to reply in the manner that my previous post asked for will win both best answers. However you must fulfill both requirements and be the first one to do so in order to win 20 points. Now here is the link. GO!

I'm not talking in terms of what the word actually means. I'm asking the modern connotation of the word. Thinking back to the Nelly Furtado song, which almost glorified promiscuity, is this term, becoming more positive?

I've have connections to a young nine year old boy who is currently dying of cancer. With no hope, and only one month to live, people asked this boy what he wanted before he passed away. He replied that he wanted to see how many Get Well Soon cards he could recieve and is now trying to get into the Guiness Book of World Records.

I don't know him personally, but to help contribute to his cause, I've gotten a card but I don't know what to write on the inside. I don't want to write anything that says "get well soon" or "hope you'll get better" b/c it will only reinforce the fact that he WON'T get any better.

any suggestions on what i can write?

I get the impression that men are more racist than women, especially here in Yahoo!Answers. Every single time I've come across a question or answer with racist under- or overtone, it turns out to be by a male.
I've also noticed, in the people around me, that men tend to make more racist remarks than women.

Is my observation correct or is it just pure coincidence? And if it is correct, what, in your opinion, is the reason?
