I haven't really given anything up. I attended Ash Wednesday service yesterday and we were all each given a horseshoe nail to carry in our pocket. Each time you reach in your pocket you feel the nail, and remember Jesus being nailed to the cross. The nail is sharp enough that it night even draw a little blood, which would be another good reminder. Thanks for asking.

I have given up shopping..which is HARD for me, lol. I am only getting necesities aka FOOD and nothing else...
This should be interesting...the longest I've gone without getting a little something was about a week...I've never given up anything for Lent before because I'm not Catholic, bnut I decided to culture myself this year.

I havnt given up anything for lent, but i am doing something for lent, im promising not to go on my xbox for more than 2 hours a say. which is still pretty much.

It not so much what you give up it what you do for others and the sacrifice that was made to do it. Like spending time with the elderly that are in a home and no family members come to see. Or helping the neighbor with one too many kids. Or feeding the poor. In prayer/fasting for humanity. Repenting (forgiveness)
