My wife has a initmate internet Muslim friend in Egypt. She wants to send her a necklace and some flowers. Is this advisable? Her freinds family has recently found out they where chatting and now is forcing her to marry her cousin

Does anyone out there think that we screwed up with all these womans rights? I believe woman had more power over men before. I heard something that makes me laugh....Woman are superior to men and with womens lib we have been brought down to the level of man. I am an independent woman and do not like a man to run my life in any way however I believe the downfall of families has a lot to do with woman liberation.

If you live, have lived, or visited there, list the pros and cons.

Overall, I don't like it very well--and I'm a native.

Pros: Ale-8-1 (a special gingerale,) beautiful rolling horse country, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky River palisades, Cumberland Falls, Land Between the Lakes, Harrodsburg/Mercer Co. (an exceptional community, and the only place in Kentucky I'd voluntarily live.)

Cons: Lexington has the worst traffic for a city it's size, political leaders have a very strong good ol boy network, the job market is lackluster, and the people are frankly cold, impolite, and unwelcoming. (Also, the best women I've dated are from out of KY, honestly.)

Why are so many of you so insane?

When I mention the potential extinction of future mankind, many people on Yahoo figuratively jump for joy.

When we are speaking of the death of mankind we obviously mean the death of EVERYTHING you hold dear. Your children of today are precious to you. The children of the future are your greatgrand children. You suffer and sacrifice for your children today. Both you and your children will suffer for those of the future. Therefore, the children of the future are even more precious. The children of the far future are infinitely more precious.

Those who cheer for the extermination of humanity hate or neglect the sacrifices, the life, and the love of your species. Do you all share that sentiment, would you all not care if all you struggled for was in vain?

Or are there more of you with loving spirits?

I don't want to be too critical this term, but it really doesn't make sense. A person has be rude to his enemy, polite to his friends, respectful to the elderly. "just be yourself" doesn't really tell anybody how to be or act. A person has to think how he or she has to act in front of others, in order to fit into the society. not to "just be yourself"

Look here at two points:

First, we've know for a long time that smoking isn't one of the best things we can do for our health.

Smoking tobacco has been done for generations though! Look at old 1850 bars. Some back then even thought it wasn't the best thing to do.

But what about just bars? I mean come on! Why is there so much fit about allowing smoking in bars? It's a bar. It's not a heathfood store.

Some don't realize the other harmful benfits of heath. A pet bird for instance. Some people can get microspic particles for the bird in the house and get lung cancer. Without
even smoking a single cig in their whole life!

Eating at fast food joints. I'm not hurting anyone else? If you eat in it moderation it is fine.
Some don't but still think that is okay.

Do you anti-smokers think you are going to make the world heath-perfect?

I'm not a full time smoker but I won't go to bars I can't smoke. I like to smoke when I have a drink.

my cousin and his friend go to a community school. a week ago, they were having a basket ball game at the school, so my cousin and his friend went to the teacher's lounge for sodas. One teacher sees my cousin and his friend and says wethey can stay, but hurry up, but another teacher comes up to them and takes there pictures, and then takes there sodas and throws it away.
