The whole world is awesome.
What we hate are the consequences of what our previous leaders have done or have allowed to be done.
Right now we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
The power and the benefits are all about the super wealthy and their control and influence over the politics. In the meantime why should we be happy with The leaders of America, we are at war, and the reason we are there is our fault to begin with and we have been made to be dependent on the oil from foreign countries and we can't live on the minimum wage that we have, we need at least double what it is and at best we may get a couple dollars of an increase, which won't help. Their are 47 million people in the USA who don't have health insurance. As far as loving Europe , what's not to love? Except that the settlers that came here, took this country the same way they conquered the territories in Europe. By force. The territories were limited in size in Europe and this was how the nations gained power whereas there was no need to exercises those methods here, there was much to gain for everyone had they come here in peace, truth and open to exchange, instead, Native Americans where violently displaced and the treaty's were not honoured, then the missionary's came to civilise us savages. They changed the way we lived, the way we spoke , the way we dressed, the way we honoured our land and forced upon us their religions and their laws, they killed our people and destroyed our culture, polluted our water and our air and now claim to own the land and the water and the air, Now they don't even take care of their own people. we have made a mess. We take much for granted, We are fortunate to have as much freedom and jobs and stores that are full as we do , but we don't appreciate it.
we waste way too much, we squander money and complain about stupid things. We have our priorities mixed up, and we are often unkind to those who come here to work and earn money to provide for their families back home, we try to block the Mexican border, land that we stole not so very long ago. That 's not what the new world (United States)was supposed to be about when the people left their European homes long ago to confront a frontier that was undeveloped and build communities from the ground up.The foundation of this America was built on deceit, destruction and horrendous crimes committed by the settlers that sailed here. Since then it has been a continuation of manipulation and control from those in power and those behind the power with the money who pull the strings. We are told we are the best from birth, but the best "What". Why? there are many wonderful places outside of this country, there are some pretty awful places too.
At least here, anything is possible if a person wants it bad enough and we all have access to education. We have water. and there are ways to eat if we find ourselves in a bad way without money.I have lived in what we call a third world country for a 3 year stretch and at times I was almost embarrassed to be American, because of my ignorance. I found that the culture there in many ways far superior to ours , that their values were solid and a credit to those people, I saw happy people, who treated me so well as if I was special just because I was American, I was special because I was their guest I suppose , something we don't do well here at all. I also saw poverty beyond anything I had ever seen before, with little chance of those people finding a way out of their situation. Those 3 years were the best 3 years of my life and I came home a different person. I was humbled and I no longer took so much for granted. So, I hate what this young country with great potential and much to offer has made of herself, people don't have respect for this country, but then again how can America ever really be good when it was created at such a loss to the native people. We are now creating a bigger gap between the rich and the poor, our middle class is disappearing, and neither the republicans or democrats are doing anything about it, life as we know it is vanishing.

lol you sound like stephen colbert. We dont hate america we are just displeased with the way it is going. It is definitely not the best country there is. Were like thirty something in the literacy rating and i think lower then that in mathmatics. We have all been stupified by media and the depletion of the education system. I believe we could be the best again though. We first have to acknowledge are ignorance. And move ahead.

I wasn't aware we do. I must've missed a memo. I guess I better turn on Al Jazerra for some of that liberal news bias that you can't find anywhere else.

C'mon... Isn't the Orally Factor on somewhere? Do us all a favor. Reach under the desk and unplug your computer.

Just because they don't agree with everything going on in this country right now, doesn't mean they hate America.

Because years of isolation from the harsh truths of reality have given them an unrealistic mindset. Machiavelli calls this 'society becoming feminine' in his Discourses. Highly recommended reading.
