First of all, if you are going to express strong opinions, be sure you get it right. It is "WOMEN'S rights."
Second, if you don't like men (or others) to run your life, don't let them. By saying what you just said, you actually meant, you have no control of your own life.
Third, if you are saying women's liberation has caused the degradation of the family, then you are saying free women is bad for the family? You are contradicting yourself.
Are you for equality or inequality (women superior to men?) I think you mean latter. You are just promoting discrimination.
Family is created of contribution by all parties. Women and men deserve equal rights, responsibilities, and contributions. Anything else is a gender bias and discrimination, regardless of which way it turns.

I agree that there are problems with the women's rights movement but it has little to do with having power over men. The desire for the right to an education, the right to vote, employment opportunities spawned the birth of the women's movement. There wasn't a lot of talk about equality, necessarily but more to the point, that women were capable of more than raising children and should be allowed to expand their opportunities and influence decisions that directly affected their lives. However, as with most movements and groups, everything expanded. The demands and desires of the participants grew. And, as often happens, groups began to splinter, and lo and behold, fanatics were born. Fanatics, in any form, are dangerous. The women's movement lost some ground because it no longer reflected the needs and desires of most women. Many agree with you, that the women's movement has hurt women as much as it helped but I don't think it's women's lib in general. Everyone wants equity and fairness. I believe that not wanting a man to run your life is another issue entirely, brought on by a movement that lost it's way for a time.

Women have been brought down by the old libber. As the old saying goes, why buy the cow when the milk is free. Alot of free milk out there. And now men can get it with no dishonor or shame. Sad for the kids! But you have been liberated. Not. The men have been liberated from all sense of honor to family, since women don't need us anymore.

I support EQUAL rights, not just women's rights. It makes me mad when rights are taken from men for women. It's just reverse sexism. Before you know it, there will be a men's lib.
"Brought down to the level of a man" HARSH!! Women are not higher than men and vice versa.
May I ask, how is women's lib bringing about the downfall of families? Is it because women are working? Well...why are women always expected to stay home, why can't men

I totally agree with you actually, on the part about the downfall of families. Mothers used to be able to stay at home and raise their kids, while the man went out and made a living. That is the number one problem with the world today. Mothers have to work, or want to work or whatever, and they are paying someone else to raise their children. The kids are running wild, why both parents are gone to work. My opinion is that, if a woman decides to have children, she should stay at home and raise them. I am a stay at home mom, and I am totally in tune with my kids and what is going on in their lives. And they know I am always here for them. I may not get all the luxuries in life, that a working mom would have, but that is my sacrifice. I don't have a fancy house or drive a fancy car, but I am there for my kids and that is worth more to me than all the money in the world.

Your right ! Women have lost rights in the last 3 decades.....without ERA, the Equal Rights Amendment. My personal liberation came about with self-employment; what a mind-opening experience...as it is for multi-millions of women throughout the world.
I raised my son without ever receiving the court-mandated child support...men make the rules...
Now, we have a woman as Speaker of the House ! I am jubilant & very hopeful...the congress ought to be 50% women to be truly representative of the population.
WOMEN, LET'S WORK TOGETHER....SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER...! Thanks !

NATURE, being GOD, has tendered us only NEGATIVE & POSITIVE to balance itself. It is upto the discretion of each individual to decide whether who is to run the team according to their own environment with humanity. In front of NATURE no-one will be GRATE. Whoever She/he may be, has to depend on Nature & her/himself with limitations.
