It does when they are talentless, bad influences on our youth, impose a grossly over-exaggerated sense of worth on idealized physical beauty, and are able to create dynasties with their wealth based on these worthless attributes.

everyone's got their own field son!darwin and newton stay in the lab experimenting,but movie stars and rappers tell stories in their diff ways,do their thing and come up with it on tv,radio,net and all that and instantly catch the fancy of pple.gimme a breather i'm not goin to see some complicated stuff without being able to comprehend it in plain english.life could be much more interesting!music is soulfood,movies are imaginations placed on ur flat screen.

No, it does not sadden me, to each his own. Not all idolized movie starts and rappers. My favorite book is Edgar Allen Poe's Complete Tales and Poems. So you see, not all of us think the same.

Because America has dumbed down. This is just one of the symptoms of the cause. Just take a look at past curriculum's or tests that they would give in public schools.

Yeah I can relate with you on that pal. They also don't realize that it takes intelligence to create those walkmans, cd players, iPods, cellphone with all the latest bells & whistles, the internet that allows them to push their crappy media and such. And they dare call us nerds !!!!
