My wife has a initmate internet Muslim friend in Egypt. She wants to send her a necklace and some flowers. Is this advisable? Her freinds family has recently found out they where chatting and now is forcing her to marry her cousin

For Muslims, there's absolutely nothing wrong with women befriending one another, even if they are not of the same religion, race, nationality etc. And of course it's ok to exchange gifts... especially if it is done with sincerity.

I don't understand why she is being forced to marry her cousin for being friends with another woman..?

There are certain cultures that marry into their families... they believe anything past the uncle is ok to marry... as far as the jewelry.. why not..? but i'm afraid there's not much you can do to change their cultural ways..
