I just always called it that because it looks like the U.S. has a penis, called Florida. I guess they prefer "the sunshine state" but what do you think?

It's amazing how often our perceptions of truth are shaped by what we have to gain or lose. We generally don't see big oil tycoons believing in global warming, tobacco growers believing that cigarettes are bad for you, and so on. Can you think of a time when someone, or some industry, took a stand on an issue even when it went against their own self-interests?

As I've started paying attention to the world outside of my country. I've become dissatisfied with my goverment and search for a nation or society that I would find agreeable.
I wonder if there are any societies that have some qualities such as these:
1)Companies don't advertise the hell out of things/non materialistis society.
2)Big corporations don't influence politics.
3)Society isn't wasteful like the US. (food is distributed equally. there is simply what the people need.)
4)They don't exploit other nations economically. (No chinese sweatshops)
5)Govement policies aims to benefit citizens over other nations. (Making sure everyone in their country has basic needs met before sending money to other nations)
6)Individual freedom. (Similar to the US, only better. More or less a society where everyone leaves each other alone)

Language would not be much of an issue, I am young and willing to learn another language

why do people call it the kkk,? its the KKKK. when they after the Yankees took over the south.& occupied the Southern States for twenty years freed Southerners from Yankee rule. they were heroes to the Southern people. todays KKKK is nothing like the original KKKK.there for white people. not any other people. all people have rights.encludeing Southerners who know there history.

I was at the store and this white lady with a cart was walking past us.Her son was in the cart with his hands hanging out.Then she told her son "Put your hands in the cart,were next to blacks."Then she said sorry.Now I'v never had someone make a comment like that staight to my face.And I didn't get what she ment by sorry?And I wondererd how she could say that when most of the cashiers and half the costomers were black.

I'm moving to Australia to study and i want to know what the people are like. I've moved around alot all of my life to different countries, mostly Latin countries and the US.... so I know how the US and Latin cultures are, and i know one thing for sure that my biggest struggle with Central Americans was the Machismo err I don't know the word for it in English, but that the men treat the women like trash. I hear that its like that in Australia, I've heard that the men are machistas, so I just want to know if its true and i would like to know any other things that are important or that you would think I need to know, if you have been/lived or are from Australia.
