I was at the store and this white lady with a cart was walking past us.Her son was in the cart with his hands hanging out.Then she told her son "Put your hands in the cart,were next to blacks."Then she said sorry.Now I'v never had someone make a comment like that staight to my face.And I didn't get what she ment by sorry?And I wondererd how she could say that when most of the cashiers and half the costomers were black.

Don't worry about people like that. They are beneath you. Being black in our American society is being American. Think of Ed Bradley and the accolades paid to him today. He was not Black. He was a great journalist and an American

I am a white lady and I have nothing against black people or African American, here I go I don't even want to offend you by calling you either of those. I have never even asked, I know I don't mind being called white, but I don't know what might offend others, so I am sorry if I have in some way. The other day I was in Wal Mart at the check out. There was this black mother and her 3 year old daughter in front of me. When the mom got ready to go the little girl wasn't ready, so I told her she could just stay with us, just joking with her.....So she told her mom she was staying with us...Mom went to the next counter where the little girl couldn't see her and waited, the little one never went for her mom...So mom came after her and she cried to stay with us...I didn't know this little girl from Adam, but I would have taken her home with me no matter her color, but I could tell her mommy loved her very much. I don't understand why some people are so ugly. I would give anything to walk past this lady and take off running in the opposite direction, saying " You are ugly in your heart, get away from me".

But seriously seems like she wasn't confident in her own person that she had to lash out to feel superior....and after she realized she had a bad case of verbal dysfunction she came to reality and said sorry.
Now I am truly sorry you heard that, do not let it bother you plz! People do not THINK before they speak and act!!! Does not matter skin or origin....We all have feelings.

i am sorry that you have to see people like that this world isn't getting any better God is a very colorful artist he painted the world with so many beautiful colors but he didn't put the hate into people i wish people could take joy in our diversity Love is Color blind and Love is what the world needs more of God Bless you and have a Happy Thanks Giving

Either her son has a rare condition that make us(black people) deathly ill when he touches us or she is a very sad and ignorant fool. Both are just no fun!!!

she sounds rasist. but then she realised that someone heard her say it and shes embarrest. its just a way to get out of a bad situation. but if she wasnt rasist, why would she say it in the first place....
