Are current problems like catastrophies sunamies for eg., some new diseases, population explosion, pollution leading to a silent doom to Mankind, which we are not able to presume now?

A Marine killed his newborn son, the mother died in childbirth. If he didn't want the baby, he could have taken it to any "safe surrender" site or given it to a family member or freind to take care of. I hope he rots in the fires of hell for doing such a disgusting thing. I couldn't even finish the story, it made me want to vomitt!!! Why do people do these things, it just breaks my heart!!! I hurt for this child who was robbed of his life!

It occured to me the other day that the two things I worry the most about are time and money. Two things which are given value by man. In essence they are given value by man. Time doesn't really exist, cannot truely be measured in physical terms. Money only has value because we say it does. I know this probably doesn't make much sense but tell me why you think we let these two things occupy so much of our mind.

I know alot of people who care for animals they love but will kill an insect for just flying in their space.Or feed live fish to their fish for a show. I know death is necessary but i don't think slight comfort or entertainment is a good enough reason. The world seems to disagree with me, how about you?

if they go at work (don't ask how this conversation came about...) and some people claimed that they never go at work. We all know the serious ones have happened..I just wonder how they start. I cannot imagine ANY of the teachers in my school ever willing to risk the consequences of being jailed for doing a student. How do you think they even start? Does the kid have the guts to actually go up to the teacher and say they have a crush on them? Or is it usually the teacher who makes the first move? Or do you just not know at all?
