I know alot of people who care for animals they love but will kill an insect for just flying in their space.Or feed live fish to their fish for a show. I know death is necessary but i don't think slight comfort or entertainment is a good enough reason. The world seems to disagree with me, how about you?

I care! but some insects are a pest like house flies, mice, fleas, carpet Beatles, lice, mosquitoes, sliver fish, Carpenter ants, elk Beatles, pine Beatles, termites, and many more do a lot of damage and can spread diseases upon us. However, there are animals who are becoming endanger species and a lot already are which we are struggling to balance man vs. planet to prevent extinction of anything that lives on our only livable planet that we know of among the universe as the last frontier.

And this is why I’m a vegetarian! : ) Every creature deserves a chance to live and I shouldn’t be the one who changes that.

We’re Human Beings. We have the intelligence to feel compassion and love as well as heal wounds and treat the sick. I don’t see why people always turn our intelligence into an argument for hunting and killing things we don’t like.

We can’t look to religion either as most of the world’s religions (with the exception if Hinduism and Buddhism) don’t give a rat’s *** (hehehe, pun intended) about animals.

I love animals. If I see a nasty looking bug in my house, I usually try to pick it up and put it outside. I'll kill a mosquito if it's about to bite me. I'd rather kill a mosquito than get West Nile. Sorry but that's how I feel. If an insect is not bothering me, then I generally won't bother it. Simple as that.

I agree with you and I'll admit that I'm one of those people. There are large classes of animals - like rats, mice and biting insects - that I really dislike and certainly don't care about. What's so bad about that? Those animals and bugs have carried diseases that have killed or cut short the lives of tens of millions of people. That's why they're called vermin and pests.

People can't even find a way to care about all the other people in the world. Caring about all animals and bugs, while nice, doesn't strike me as being nearly as important.

Because not all animals are cute and cuddly. I for one would not want to have a possum or a sloe lorus or a sloth for a pet.
