I think one of the promises of globalization was the idea of sharing cultures, ideas, and capital, but is it increasingly only one way? Is the world becoming just another American market for hollywood, Coke, Disney, and McDonalds? Will everyone speak english in 50 or 100 years? Will anyone still speak arabic, french, or german? If I go on vacation will I ever be able to see anything unique or speak to unique people with a unique culture?

Go ahead and attack....but why so "some" not all people use Yahoo to get their racist remarks out? Why not just say what you feel in person...or ask the people in person that you have this "problem" with??

To me the ones who do it are a bunch of wimps who have the protection of their computer!!

that there would be so much reporting if it was not anonymous ...

I just think its too easy .. I mean by all means report things that are offensive like Sexism ...Racism ...Adult Content... (even swearing .. if you find that offensive .. and don't leave your house)... someone being insulting ... stalkers ..

But some of the stuff that gets reported is ridiculous ... and just harmless, general temperature raisng questions like .... ''who would you like to get under the mistletoe, etc''..

whats all that about ... is it a form of bullying on the sly ...?

I've always grumbled how I thought it was a little one sided that other racial groups were given the chance for more scholarship and grants than caucasians. Now I know I may be hitting a sensitive subject and this may pull some racial slurs from morons with nothing better to do but I'm curious.
Why is it when a scholarship is offered to the caucasian race that it's considered racist or bigotry? Isn't it equal opprotunity?

I know this question has been asked before but I'm curious about the responses. I used to work in a video store and a man was looking to rent a video game for his son. We informed him of the violence level being quite high and maybe inappropriate for a young kid. He stated that it was ok just as long as there was no nudity in it. I find this kind of disturbing. Is it really worse for our children to see the naked human form than it is for them to see the results of a drive-by shooting??? I don't advocate our children watching gratuitous sex, but the naked body vs. bloodshed? I'll take the nudity 100% of the time. Any thoughts on this? I'd like to also hear the opposition.
