Is the word "muffin" some kind of derogatory term?

I don't mean the cute little cupcakes. I know it sounds ridiculous...but I honestly did hear that there is a homophone to "muffin" that has a derogatory/offensive definition. Is it true?

The single guys at work explained this term:
A woman wearing tight jeans which cases her to overflow the top of the jeans like a muffin top does.
