Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, is historically one of the busiest retail shopping days of the year. Many consider it the "official" beginning to the holiday season. Most retailers will open very early and usually provide massive discounts on their products.

Black Friday is the term for the biggest shopping day of the year. It's the day after Thanksgiving (hence the Friday part) and is usually full of crazed shoppers trying to get deals on stuff before Christmas rolls around. A lot of times people end up getting hurt trying to get good deals (hence the Black part).

*If you just shop online, you'll save yourself the hassle of driving to the mall, fighting the crowds and getting a black eye all so you can get a gift that'll be returned the day after Christmas.

Black Friday falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It's the official big Christmas shopping day. Stores will have all kinds of sales and gimmicks to draw you to their store. It's called Black Friday because it takes the merchants out of the red (-) and in the black (+).

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. It's called Black Friday because it has to do with the retail industry. This is the day in which retail stores, such as Walmart and Target, aim to start making money for the year. Before this day, they are said to be working in the red (or not making money yet) and after this day they are said to be making money. Basically, its just a retail industry term. For all the Black Friday sales see www.blackfriday.info (i believe thats the site)

The streets are filled with wild Capitalists and their Visa Cards ripping candy out of the hands of little babies because it's the last piece at a discount price!

It's a savage and barbaric annual ritual that knows no equal, except for the recent release of the PS3.
