I posted a question a few days ago concerning why more people aren't buying hybrid vehicles.......most of the responses were they were too expensive, (they're not any more expensive than anything else) and worst of all, the don't have enough POWER....I own a hybrid and can tell you these are both untrue. At a time when we need to be SERIOUSLY pondering our dependence on fossil fuels our concerns are NOT ENOUGH POWER??? No wonder the rest of the world thinks we're greedy & selfish, don't you think we need to start looking at the bigger picture????? Let me know what you think. My car gets 54mpg in town, 50mpg highway.......how about yours????????????

Not someone you know but yourself we are talking here. What was the worst part of being in jail other than losing your liberty? What was the best part of being in jail other than the free bed, board and treatments (for those who manage to jump NHS queues whilst in jail or free treatments for those who would otherwise have had to pay for it)?

Aren't we as parents and members of society responsible for teaching our children right and wrong? Doesn't that include lieing? But, yet the majority of people every year delight in lieing to their kids and even get mad if someone else tells them the truth. Of course I am talking about--what else! Santa Clause. So my question is: Why do you feel the need to fill your childrens head up with crap when it would be just as easy to sit them down and tell them the truth?

Compare for example 'Gladiator' versus 'Troy' or 'Alexander.' Why on a popular level do we now identify with the Romans, but are somehow alienated from the Greeks?

NB Films about ancient Rome would include films about the life of Christ or set during Christ's lifetime, such as 'Ben Hur.'

I can honestly say I have no hidden agenda & use this site , mainly to give people a laugh or answer their questions if I can ,& hopefully make a few friends. There seems to be a lot of users who seem to want to upset others because they dont hold the same views or do not conform . I am all for letting people have their say , but some of the rants we see have no place on this site. Perhaps it is the way of the world nowdays but it frightens me sometimes to realise what the youngsters will have to put up with when they grow up!
I will wait to see what answers I get !
