Yes.

Add a 1200 year flood, several Cat 5 hurricanes, numerous tornadoes, a few landslides, some out of control brushfires and some terrorist attacks (not generally, but specfically). It's been exciting - :-)

I lived in California for 14 years. As a kid, I was shaken out of my bed. In school I could feel the ground tremor. But I never experienced the devastation of a real big one.
