I had a lover/boyfriend from China over 10 years ago. I broke up with him; his feelings were strong. Mine were too, but at that time I wasn't ready.

We've stayed in touch over 10 years and both admit regret. Especailly when he got married 3 years ago. Then double for me when his baby came. But we still stayed in touch; I even have dreams about him that are true with what is going on in his life.

I am going to China soon. I haven't seen him in these 10 years ! He knows how I feel and was so happy and excited when i told him i am coming . He said "Great, i can pick you up from the airport, you can see my house, meet my wife and baby"..

My respons: no it is too sad for me.

Am I wrong to feel this way? He says come on it was 10 years ago I still care abou tyou are my best friend. But for me its too sad.

Question: should I see him?

And does he have some motive wanting me to see thisnew life; knowing it would make me feel sad?

Are the different American accents noticable to people from other countries or do we all sound alike to you?

To many Americans, all British people sound alike, or all German people or all asians even though there may be different regional accents or dialects.
What does out accent sound like to you?
What American regional accent do you find hardest to understand?

In America, many black people speak in Ebonics or certain words.
You can tell, over the phone the person is African American.
I've never heard a black British person speak like that.
Is there a British version of Ebonics?

When the muslims stone a woman to death, where are the "moderate" muslims?

Do the "moderates" hand out stones? Do they watch? Do "moderates" occasionally throw a couple at the woman themselve's?

Would you turn down $5000.00 and $8000 in FREE Ice Cream?

the Waukee Ragbrai comittee refused the Iowans for Sensible Priorities offer to be a sponsor and give out free Ice Cream at the bicycle event but the comittee thought the Orio Mobile would be too controversialand that it might ...."offend" someone.
the rejection of ISP and Ice cream offends me.. How about you?

I blame the 60's, how about you?

I believe that the free love of the 60's and the other events that occured during that time frame are the cause of where we are today with abortions, and single mothers, the high divorce rates and everything else. If you compare what life was like in the 50's and 40's and how everything was to what it was like during the 60's and on it all makes for a good cause in my opinion....what are your thoughts?
