From a revenge standpoint, YES! They should go through the same pain and body-wrenching changes we women go through to have a baby. Maybe they'd also "get" what the mother-child bond is all about.

From the standpoint of the safety of the baby, maybe not. Men don't take care of themselves as well as women and would likely think the doctor is a douche and ignore her/his advice.

Besides my husband would whine the whole time.

No because I don't think men could handle being pregnant. But I do believe in the programs that make the father wear an empathy belly for a day or two to get to know how it feels so he has sympathy for the mother of his child.

No, it'd just mean we'd have to listen to them whine. More.

Were you watching Discovery Health Channel, by the way? About the baby that developed outside the womb?

And doctors said it could be possible for men to carry babies, but it would be dangerous. If it's not in the womb, the placenta can latch onto vital organs.

Why does anyone's opinion on this matter? Men can't get pregnant, so if someone thinks they should, it just means that that person is deranged. I mean, it's like saying that I think the grass in my front yard should be red. Who cares? It's not red, and it will never go red. My opinion on what it "should" be is utterly irrelevant.

Yeah like in Ursula K. Leguin's "The Left Hand of Darkness.
On this one planet there was only one sex that at certain times were male and at other times were female. They could become a mother or a father.

Hey! Hollywood! When are you going to turn that into a movie?

There is no provisioning for than from Nature ya ?

The man will genetically not have the requirements to grow a fetus in him. Well if it could be done artificially in the future - it will all bottom down to whether the individual will like to do so.

Women couldn't handle their mood swings. They don't need to be pregnant. Plus men have a lower tolerance for pain, they wouldn't make it through labor.

No but I thank every now and than I thank they should suffer as we do when we are in labor. Maybe even we are have PMS and menstrual pains.
But pregnant heck no they would cry like little baby's and we would have to shoot them to put them out of their misery... (just kidding)

no. That's one thing that should be left up to us as we have the equipment for it. Men generally don't like pain so why would we try to kill them with labour pains? I don't like pain too much myself, which is part of the reason I have no kids.

If it were left up to men, to carry on the Human Race as the "bearer of Children", we would have stopped at Adam, I am afraid...:)

I wish you well..
