When the muslims stone a woman to death, where are the "moderate" muslims?

Do the "moderates" hand out stones? Do they watch? Do "moderates" occasionally throw a couple at the woman themselve's?

Afterall their "merciful" prophet encouraged this. Do the "moderates" disagree with mr. mohammed. Are muslims allowed to disagree with their lunatic prophet?

Where are all the protest against stoning women?

There can't be any such thing as a moderate Muslim, and here's why: their allegiance is not to an ideal, or to a concept. Their allegiance is to an individual (in this case, Mohammad).

If you follow an ideal, for example, "democracy", there is a lot of room for disagreement. "Democracy", after all, can be interpreted in many ways.

But, there's no wiggle room when following the dictates of written commandments; you either obey, or you don't.

What might be meant by "moderate Muslims" I'm going to leave to someone else to sort out. My opinion is that, to obedient Muslims, whatever Mohammad said, goes. And, he apparently had a lot to say about dishing out violence.

Shows what you know. Most muslims ARE moderate and don't condone any violence except in self-defence. Stoning is an ancient, outlawed practice, which was practised on both male and female criminals. Only a very few places carry it out now, although they are not supposed to.
I live amongst muslims, and not one of them would do such a thing. In fact, they have a higher respect for women then do any of the men I met in the west.

First thing first, Its not just stoning a woman who commits adultery, anyone whether man or woman who commits adultery is stoned provided there are 4 witnesses who testify it.

look at women's rights in Muslim theocracies or the place Islam has a solid effect on the governments. Biblical Christianity is little greater perfect, it fairly is barely that maximum societies the place there's a majority Christians have become secular and the two handle to pay for women equivalent rights and protections, or are on a thank you to that place. Edit: As for the two posters above me - arranged marriages and honour killings was once the norm in Christian societies. that's not a Christian/Islam distinction, yet a theocratic/secular distinction. Civil rights, women's rights, and so on. have larger with secularism, not with Christianity.
