I fully support the rights of any two people of the same sex to cohabitate, unionize, or marry.

I am forced to shake my head, embarrassed to be part of the same species as the people who believe that "it's a sin" and "it's against god."

This is exactly what I'm talking about when I say that faith is dangerous and divisive. Here is a situation where a segment of society has been scapegoated by faith into being second-class citizens. Is there any rational reason for this? Absolutely not. Yet, it continues. It is intolerance, fear, and hatred riding on the wings of faith and it sickens me.

The people who are opposed to gay marriage today are the same people who were opposed to interracial marriage forty-five years ago. These are the people who insist on maintaining the status quo even though millions suffer needlessly, denied basic human rights.

I feel that this is a concrete case of how dangerous it is to let superstition guide your actions. Here we see belief in a a fairy-tale standing in the way of the happiness of Americans.

God created man then he created woman and told them to be fruitful and multiple. The Bible speaks about it being wrong and a sin for a man to lay with another man and the same goes for women. The question that alot of people ask then is: Does God hate people that are gay? The answer to that is NO. But, He does however hate the SIN. Another questions asked: Can I be forgiven if I have fallen into the SIN of the gay lifestyle. The answer: Absolutely! The only sin that God said that He will not forgive is the SIN of BLASPHEMY. So if you are in this situation call out to HIM and HE can forgive.

Do you mean " marriage "? Well it isn't marriage , I think it should be called " Blessiage ", marriage is between a man and a woman. However same sex couples could commit together in a blessiage service, after all they are blessed in that they have found each other, does it matter that they are the same sex. They should enjoy the same benefits that a man & woman marriage carry, such as tax relief, etc.

I'm perfectly okay with that. I mean, I cannot possibly see how it is going to affect me that other people married into their same sex. It's none of my business. It does not affect my life, or anybody else's (except for those busybodies who care about other people's lives more than about their own, but then again, that's their problem). And since I do not buy the religious threat, I couldn't mind what others do with their lives.

Its up to them, but they should keep any kind of 'touchy indulgencies' indoors, to avoid young kids getting confused and twisted! God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Need I say anything else? Even animals know whats what and whats for where. Its just not natural, how is the human kind to carry on if everyone was to turn out the wrong way.

I sure hope wrathpuppet wins the best answer! After that answer there is nothing else to say! Except to those narrow minded people who still think 'it's a sin' I have this to say. Join the 21st century, your living in the dark age! My wife and I have many freinds who are gay and they are all wonderful guys and gals!

I have no opinion! It's none of my business, and I don't think other people need my approval or opinions any more than mixed race couples.
I have strong feelings against unhappy marriages, especially when there are kids.
