Last night my front door opened for no reason and there was no one there. Then while we were eating dinner, the kitchen door opened by itself. My husband got up and closed the door tightly, but a few minutes later it opened again. I am not a believer in ghosts per se, and we didn't see any abberition, but it has me thinking now for sure. What do you think?

have you ever felt like someone was watching you from in your house but you were the only one in your house? that's how i feel all the time! my houseis so scary i always here noises and see weird shadows out of the corner of my eye and stuff and while i'm walking up my stairs i always feel like something's right behind me! like this one time my sister and i were using a ouija board but no results but later on after that i saw shadows and heard weird noises and stuff like that! an example of a few weird things that has happened before was this one time when i had this ''thing'' toy you know from the fantastic 4 and the hat to be hit really hard on its feet to make this crushing noise and so i went to sleep and i started to hear that crushing noise and i looked over and there was the toy lying all by itself on the floor still going off making that noise and also my sister had this talking yoda doll thing that says phrases and stuff like that,well she had had it turned off and it talked!

ok...so there were the mayans...and before they died they predicted the first ice age....and were correct...date time and everything....now...my sis' teacher says that they predicted the world would end decmber 23rd 2012.....
im not sure whether i shuld believe this....i think its true...then i dont!!!

Personally I believe in ouija boards and spirits and all that stuff. Please don't go and tell me I'll go to hell for messing around in that stuff. My friend was going through his freezer, and found a jewelry box. He opened it and saw that inside it, someone had spelled out his girlfriend's name in salt.

He suspects his mother, since she seemed embarrassed when he brought it up.

We're guessing that it's his mother hoping for him to propose to his girlfriend, but neither of us has ever heard of this particular practice or superstition before. Any help would be appreciated!

I mean, why is it like it is? Two oval shaped eyes on a slight angle, a thin slit for a mouth and two thin slits for nostrils and thin with a big head. Is there an actual documentation for the first time someone suggested this?

My online research has shown that some constellations found in the modern Western zodiac date back 2000-4000 years whereas the personal horoscope, or using the stars to determine personality traits and a person's future, did not develop till medieval times, much after the development of the zodiac constellations.

But does anyone know exactly when each of the groups of stars associated with the signs of the modern zodiac were identified and how that sits in relation to the chronological development of ideas about Zodiac signs and personality?

In other words, what came first: (a) people notice that lots of people born in November act like a scorpion and therefore that pattern is found in the sky and called Scorpio or (b) the Scorpio zodiac constellation is developed for other reasons and then people born in November are said to have scorpion-like qualities? (Scorpio's just an example here.) I believe it's (b) but my husband won't believe it can't be (a) until he see exact dates.
