I am of Welsh and Irish descent. My grandmother was said to have the sight and could tell you almost anything you wanted to know and was almost always right. She passed before I would ask her any questions. I have dreams about stuff and and then it happends. Never anything big, Like I dreamed about my Husband 2 years before we ever meet. I can tell you stuff that it seems I just know like if we are watching a baseball game and the yankees are losing I'll say its ok A-rod will hit one in the 8th and then it happends but not all the time. Itsnot like ok It a-rod of corse he will its like I know that it what is going to happen!! I just wanted to know if there is some where I can learn more about it or if everyone can do it?

There is this old board game, it isn't really a game, but it's like a board with a bunch of letters on it (ABCDEFG...) and a triangle looking block of wood and a 'spirit' moves the block to letters to 'spell out your future'...I can't think of the name of it. It's mentioned in Kit Pearson's book 'Looking at the Moon'....and I think it was banned in certain places for witchcraft or something...Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I want to say it's called an Omji or Obji board or something, but whatever I Google doesn't work...

Personally, I think it won't end for a few hudred years now. I als belive that God won't destroy all life-He will save all animals and plants and good people, destroy only the wicked and the weapons and sin.

But the Myans predicted it to end (and be reborn) on 12-12-2012.
Newton, one of the most brilliant minds ever, predicted we will be here till atleast 2060.
What do you think?

Hey- just writing an essay on mythology and I have a few ideas but could do with some more- Im looking for psychological explanations for the following motifs/archetypes in myth:

-The seperation of the sky and the earth
-perhaps some insights on why christianity is monotheistic- psychologically-wise that is...

Why is it that they all look the same?
Trends in general are annoying...you'd think that people who "search within themselves to find themselves" would have more of a sense of self.
I'm not saying I dont believe in this but any psychic I've met looks exactly the same as the last.
I know of one wiccan who dresses in what makes her comfortable and she does like bright colors....

If you truely believe, why bother with earthly trends? Why go so far out of your way to look so much the same?

And why is it that when any of the aforementioned people "find their true religion/belief" they go from jeans and a t-shirt to floor length skirts and beads OR go from Brunette to Black?

???????????????????????????????????????????????

Okay, so we've established that it's likely that most of us went through that "fluffy bunny" stage when we started out- most of us as adolescents. So how do we move past that? For myself, personally, I find it hard to answer this question when a younger person who's been practicing all of about two years comes to me and presents me with this question. Anyone have any suggestions for advanced reading? (And if I see one more Silver Ravenwolf advocate, I'm going to scream...)

My favorite Yoda quote; "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering". These words, even though spoken by a fictional character are very poignant today, as in any age. Is this basic idea borrowed from some enlightened personage from the past? Maybe, Buddha, or Jesus? Any other great quotes with possible parallels?
