hey again,
I just wanted to thank everyone for the answers to my previous question.. theres just one thing I'm specifically unsure of in relation to my essay question which is:

'In your opinion, based on the evidence in three selected creation myths, which aspects of mythological explanation are common to all people, and which reflect human adaptations to particular environments?'

how exactly would you say the 'and which reflect human adaptations to particular environments' fits in with the rest of the question and what exactly is it referring to/asking?

A colleague of mine is pecking my head as she feels that there is some superstitious meaning of ' A butterfly landing on you'
I think it means the poor thing was hitching a ride after a hard day, she feels it has great meaning behind it.

I have an English essay due tomorrow which I still haven't started and I'm completely stuck. Does anyone have any ideas??
Heres the question:
In your opinion, based on the evidence in three selected creation myths, which aspects of mythological explanation are common to all people and which reflect human adaptations to particular environments?

Does anyone get what its asking? or have any good ideas/sites/information that could help me get this stupid thing started and finished?

It also asks for two additional sources of information eg archaeological findings, historical documents, works of art etc.. to use as evidence as well.

okay, this is the reading I am getting from my cards & my inturpitation of it. I am not a professional reader & am not saying that I can predict the future. I don't believe that tarot is about that. Yes I know it is vague, but keep in mind that we are looking at Samhain in a couple of months. The curtian between the realms is thinning as it must this time of year. I am sure the image will sharpen in time. FOr those of us who can find the strength, it might be time to focus our intent on those energies that we are all feeling 4 peace

Ive lived in my house for about 2 years now and some strange stuff has been going on... : Lights trun on and off in my bathroom/ i was even in the bathroom when it happend one time washing my hands and i saw switch go down by it self (in the corner of my eye).. My T.V turn's on for no reason in middle of the night while im sleep and scares the **** out of me. Several of my family members say they here a jingling noise coming from our kitchen (like a bell). And even my youngers sister saw shadowy figure of a man come up to her bed..
is there an explanation..... what should i think or do?

I have this necklace that gives horrible luck to anyone who touches it. I wore it out, and got a public intox. My roommate tried it on one night, and almost got arrested. Our friend tried it on and destroyed her phone later that night. Everyone is afraid to touch it, we use tongs to move it from place to place. We're afraid to throw it out, but I don't know what to do to get rid of it. Any ideas?

Why does the number 7 pop up in so many religions, folklore, and fairy tales? Where does this obsession with the number stem from? We have 7 skies, 7 heavens, 7 seas, 7 climes, 7 days in the week, 7 dwarves, 7 sins... ALso, becoming 7 years old is considered to be a turning point in child development. And there's the so called 7-year-itch in marriage. There's a definite cyclicality about the number 7 and I was just wondering if anyone has any insight regarding the sociological significance of 7.
