They unzip the tail things which help them swim and spread their legs out as every human being. The tails only help them travel just like us who have cars and they have tails because walking under water is very difficult and submarines are too expensive for them to buy. Omg, that's a funny question.I'm not the only one that thought that. After watching the Little Mermaid when I was younger I wonder that too. Then I found out that there fake. That would be really weird if there where real.

Mermaids recreate the same way as fish do. The female lays her eggs and the male fish fertilizes them.
As for hot mermaid sex, sorry. No go.

well it's almost the same concept as splash.. the mermaids come onto land and turn into humans... then after making love, as humans, they go back into the ocean to have their babies.. hmm now here's the brain teaser.. how do mermaids give birth?? and if you say they come to land and do it, then does it come out as a mermaid or human?

Mermen have a special counterpart to what humans have, that can somehow get through the scales of the mermaid's tail, and allows them to reproduce to prevent the extinction of the merpeople race.

1st of all their not real!
But if they were real then the mermaid would kiss the human or merman and then have normal sex, but lay eggs inside the human or merman and if it is a merman then the merman will inject lets just call them "sperm" inside the mermaid and they will have children! DONT ASK HOW I KNOW THAT!

Well if merpeople can take on human form, then that would be the ideal time to create a merbaby.
