Okay, here is what you do. Carefully smudge the necklace with sage to remove and bad juju, then put it on and... careful this is tricky... don't act stupid. Lets face it, the only bad luck you are talking about is getting caught for doing something you know you shouldn't be doing in the first place. It sounds like you are young and having fun, but you need to place the blame where it belongs...on your shoulders, not on the thing around your neck. Good 'luck', and please stay safe.

I don't know if it began as coincidence, but by now, the psychometric residue of your fear will have an effect on this piece of jewelry. There is no surefire way to cleanse it, but a start is to leave it in sea salt for a while, or burn white sage over it. You should not keep it, but you should sell it or otherwise part company with it. It may not be bad luck, but simply that this item is not for YOU. Does this item have a history before you acquired it, or was it brand new? Either way, cleanse it in the above methods, and then take it to a fleamarket or something. It may only be bad luck for you and not for people who are not connected to your life.
Oh yeah- and try to make better decisions in the future.

Bury it. The earth will absorb the negativity. If you want to keep it, dig it up after 3 days and it will be clean of any residue, good or bad. I'm a practicing Wiccan and use this method all the time to cleanse items before using them in spells or ritual.

Give it to someone who wronged an innocent - not yourself, but someone you're not related to and someone that you don't really know. It can be mailed to them anonymously as a "secret admirer" gift. It's best if you don't personally have a grudge against that person, in spite of the wrong they may have committed.
That covers all bases. If the bad luck is real, it will be given to someone who has it coming anyway, and if it isn't, the person to receive it won't be aware that it's -supposed- to be unlucky and thus won't be prone to the placebo effect (even if good or bad luck are real, so too is the placebo effect, so it's good to try to avoid invoking it whenever possible).

if u truly believe it is bad luck
then plan an activity where nothing can go wrong and see if something happens
but try not to subconsiouly mess it up
if sumthing bad happens then just throw it out your car window one day

Under a full moon, wrap White ribbon around necklace, place in a bag of natural materials inside of a wooden box. Place in a hole in the ground. Circle of salt around the whole thing in the hole and a pile on top of box. Bury and move on with your life never thinking of the necklace again.
