My favorite Yoda quote; "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering". These words, even though spoken by a fictional character are very poignant today, as in any age. Is this basic idea borrowed from some enlightened personage from the past? Maybe, Buddha, or Jesus? Any other great quotes with possible parallels?

I recognize the Taoist infulence. I could not, at the time I posted the question, remember Lao Tzu's name.
