Throughout the world, there have been numerous documented extraterrestrial sightings even in the stone age. We don't know whether they actually happened or not, but thy do have one thing in common. All over the world, these aliens were described as slender figures with large heads and eyes. That's a lot like what people think of aliens today, huh? That's where the image got started.

It might just be that these so-called aliens use a protective mask to also disguise their true appearances. Some are also gray or bluish gray around four feet tall with average size heads for their stature. Most or nearly all of which don't appear to wear clothing either. It's also my understanding that they are also vegan or vegetarians. This may be out of necessity environmentally. It's also been reported that these people use different bodies depending on the application or job they are doing. Many abductees may not even clearly remember their abductors and will choose a drawing that appears similar or familiar to them. I remember encountering ones who were black with large heads with large black eyes and square jaws but were still short or no taller than five feet compared to most humans. As for when some of these may have started:The Egyptian Ankh may actually be a representation of an aliens head and thin body.

People who claim they have been abducted by aliens may be experiencing a sleep disorder called sleep paralysis in which they feel they feel intense agitation and paranoia and are being paralyzed and assailed by beings that look like the classic image of an alien--or imp, gremlin, or demon for that matter. I have had experiences like this--but I know that I am not being assailed by aliens or demons--I am having an episode of disordered sleep functioning. Also, when pressure is put on a certain part of the brain (for a sleep position, for instance), a person will have sensations of paranoia and feel as if they are being watched. In the dream state, an archetypal image may appear to creative a dream narrative that goes along with the emotional sensations, accounting for why so many people report that "aliens" look the way they do.

The image you are describing was popularized on the book cover of "Communion" by Whitley Streiber. This was not the first time the image was described but it certainly increased the public view of what aliens might look like.
I believe this image works because it suggest ideas of evolution like a larger head (perhaps for a larger brain) and almost no mouth (perhaps because of telepathy being used to communicate). This would be what our brains (believing ourselves to be technologically advanced) would see in this current generation. People use to see Incubus, Succubus and other demon related images when society was more religious based and the world described in those terms.
As for if people are seeing something with a physical existence or not I draw no conclusions.

The human thoughts already consumes 25% of the components we take in as oxygen and nutrients. curiously that's what evolution got here across sensible so a techniques. So a bigger thoughts, might in all likelihood evolve as there became sluggish stress in that direction, yet at a value. yet such evolutionary stress does not exist. rather we use all varieties of equipment to confirm from infrared to gamma rays, use computers to reinforce our uncooked calculating potential and shop our thoughts on not ordinary disks and flash thoughts. Why might that's distinctive for aliens?

OK, here is the amazinnnn thing about that. The description you describe, is identical to most of the descriptions from around the world, from different cultures and society's. This give credence to the idea that "aliens" may exist. These descriptions have come from all corners of the earth

You've described one of the current stereotypical looks. I'm not sure when this concept came about but it was sensationalized by various "UFO documentaries" and is commonly accepted today.
In reality the description was leaked by Area 51 as a test... so if someone reports aliens looking like that they know it's a fake... real aliens look completely different.

That image is a tad scary. So it works. They want us to think that aliens are scary and mysterious looking humanoids.
