I have 2 jobs and maintain a diversified portfolio that includes commodity stocks, bonds, gold, and cash. I attempt to support all the people I know by assisting them as best I can. I spend as much time in the wilderness as I can. In addition to that, I construct Megalithic stone circles ( I'm up to 2 now, I started building16 years ago). ts

I may easily be wrong but I thought that tithing money went for the upkeep of a building of worship, paid clergy, proselytizing, charity and to fund the denominational organization of the church.
In my neo-pagan faith, we don't have a public building used solely for worship, paid clergy, and we don't proselytize. I give to a few different charities but I don't specify what religion that I am. The only thing that matters to me is that I can help those who need it. Although there are some neo-pagan groups who charge a fee for membership (such as some druid groups), most do not.
As you can see, my religion doesn't really need my money. My deities don't seem to need my money. So I budget my money in the best ways that I know to cover my needs. I make sure to keep my bills much lower than my income. My deities know about my needs--probably before I do. I've found that if I keep my connection with my deities in good order that everything else just falls into place.

You know how they say that charity begins at home? Well right now in our family that's more than true and we're having trouble keeping our head above water.
When things are more normal I give to charities / organizations based on what I'm drawn to and what seems like it's needed. One of the things I do is make sure that the overhead for the organization is quite low. I spent years working in a very large christian denomination church and saw first hand just how easy it is to waste that tithed money.

First off yes tithing is all good and dandy, when its used properly, but I dont believe in giving the pastor and his wife their lexus payment, or paying for their gated community house. I do dontae to my church but I am very skeptical, and they dont like it when you ask questions. Also why do they need multi million dollar churches? Did jesus not do even better work right from the street and the market. If you ask me all those super churches should be torn down, I dont think god needs any money, by the way what are we talking about, anywho go Pagans beat the christians!!!!!

Since I am my own clergy, I negotiate my own relationship to the Divine. The closest i get to tithing is making donations every now and then to the Defenders of Wildlife, since I work a lot with animal totems.
beyond that, I'm paying off debts, getting ready to invest, and managing my budget as well as I can.

If they believe that money and spirituality are connected, then they do prosperity spells or spells that keep their household spirits happy. In the same way that you thank God for the blessings he has given you, so do pagans.

Well, I'm not a pagan but I can tell you there aren't a lot of big pagan churches around. So, I imagine they give directly to the charity rather than give money to a bunch of people in a building.

I have been out of debt, except for our house mortgage, for many years now. Why, because I have always set aside part of my earnings for my extended family and emergencies. It is called self discipline and there is no reason for any outside organization to tell me how much and where any percentage of my money must go.
There is taxes, of course.

That 10% goes to food, mortgage, student loans.
about 0.5% of my income goes to charity every check. It may not sound like a lot, and it's not a huge amount, but it's a tank of gas a month.

It's called a budget. Giving money to a church just so God will give them some is hypocritical.
