I am writing a story about these creatures that feed on a person "aura". So, I am wondering if anyone has heard of something like that. That way, I can give the daft things a name.

No not all vampires actually the original vampires didnt feast on blood but on your spirit and the color it gave the persons face the next day made it look like all the blood was drained out of their body so they thought that the blood had been sucked out.
Get a book called "Monsters". It has the whole history and the different types of vampires that there are.

no, not all vampires drink blood. those who do are called sanguines. the ones you are referring to are called psychic vampires. they feed of a person's energy, not necessarily the aura itself. and its not always "stolen" as so many have eloquently stated, some people allow psychic vampires to feed off of their energy, they are termed donors. let me know if you have any other questions.

These are people who fancy themselves "psychic vampires" and feed off of the anger or sadness, etc, that other people put out.
Answerer number two is incorrect. Believe in them or not, some folks FANCY themselves that. Is it supernatural? Probably not. More likely the ability to emotionally manipulate a situation. Ever dread speaking to someone because you find them 'draining'? - someone who does this on purpose because they get a 'charge' out of it are psychic vampires.
I suspect many message board trolls are like this.

i believe its called being a Si vampires where you feed off of another persons "aura". i watched a documentary on it once. nice topic for a paper.

Yeah, all vampires drink blood. That's one of the vampire basics. They don't drink blood, they'd starve.
