do You feel you are a witch? feel you have some special power over the universés energies? i know that i sometimes felt this way as a child, dont know if it means that i was "born a witch" but i know that it means i was born to seek these powers, at least eventually.

if you want this to be your path, ask your mom more about what she meant about You. and maybe someday, on a sleepless night at 3 am, no light in the house but candles, she'll bestow upon you her secrets as well.

That you're open minded & realise that your mother has secrets she's not ready to share. I don't know if you can be born a witch... but you can grow and become one.
Let your mother have her secrets, every woman does, she'll tll you in time if she needs to - if she's ready.
Be happy with what you are though. If you were born into it then embrace the fact that you've got some powerful beginnings.

Truly, no one is really born a witch. It is craft that is learned and practiced, not something someone can do only through hereditary. Anyone can be a witch.

Wiccan and witchcraft are at times confused, or seen as being synonymous. Though the two terms may have connections between them, they are two different things. Wicca is a religion. Magick is a concept involving the use of personal energy and focused intent. Witchcraft is a practice in the use of magick that can be used by someone of any religion or someone with no religion at all. Though many Wiccans also practice witchcraft, which they see as working with divine energy to accomplish a goal or bring about change, not all witches are Wiccan and not all Wiccans practice witchcraft. The majority of Wiccans will not use witchcraft to curse or bring harm upon anyone else.

I don't think you were born a witch, unless that is what you were told as child. Everyone has secrets. Just because your mom was lighting candles and was praying, she may been praying to god, even if she didn't go to church. Or maybe she feels ashamed that you caught her practicing witch craft. I feel that I'm a witch, but didn't get the feeling until later in life.

no body is BORN a witch. a witch is someone who usually follows the path of wicca, but there are many people who consider themselves a witch when practicing any pagan religion. many different religious people burn candles and pray....christians and wiccans alike, so it may not reflect on your mom that she's a witch...maybe she's just practicing some other religion that she's not ready to tell you about. just remember...you're not born into a religion...you believe in a religion and therefore make you either a witch, christian, buddhist, etc.

You aren't born a witch. You become one through study and practice. You're only a witch if you practice witchcraft. If you want to be one, study the craft, do lots of research, but don't believe everything you read, believe only what makes sense to you.

A Witch Practices witchcraft. Witchcraft is not done on accident. It is a conscious effort of study & practice. Witches are not born they are made. Not to say that people are not born with psychic "gifts" but that alone does not make someone a witch. Nobody is born an algebra teacher, they have to spend years studying & practicing algebra...not to say that there are not those with inherent mathmatical "gifts" but those gifts alone do not qualify one as an algebra teacher...

You don't really. It depends on your ability, say like with plants or animals. Short clips of the future in day dreams or visions. Usually you come into your powers at puberty or begin to sense that you aren't the same as others. And it depends on your ideal of what witch means.
