This is a short story for my english class
just want an opinion: does this paint a clear enough picture for you? any comments/suggestions?
thanks.

The town of Amorgos, Greece, lay festering in the summer’s heat. The red barns of the countryside glistened, as it seemed, with sweat and the gleeful sun shone down on the hills rolling to the coast. The water in the harbor lay still, conserving its energy, yet glinting forcefully back at the sun. There was no breeze in sight. The sailboats moored in the harbor waited patiently, their yellow sails reflected in the bright blue water. The residents of the town were as peaceful as their settings. Two of them, in fact, an old couple, waited as patiently as the sailboats outside their doorway. The woman looked to be about sixty-five or even seventy, her face wrinkled with age. There was a look of waiting and sadness on her face. The old man was slightly taller than her, with a bit of a potbelly. His expression was a mirror of hers.

hi, first let me say that i am a well adjusted person happily married for 20 years, im in my 40's and always respect both sides of peoples opinion, i am also an athiest .
since the age of 13 i have been facinated by ufo, it started by a documentry on roswell, i would read about every book on the subject, i have never seen one, but i truly beleive we are not alone, history shows cave painting with ufo drawing, before christ
the one thing some of my friends don't seem to understand is how i can beleive in ufo but not god? i say they once beleived the world was flat. i never seen a ufo or god, but does that mean either does not exist, ufo make better sense then being created from a rib. i have seen my dads ghost after he died in a car accident, before i knew he died, until the age of 6 my mom said i would scare her when i would say something and it happened i think we live many lives and learn from our last one, i have a very strong intuition, am i alone in this to much has happened

My cousin told me he saw a special on tv about a man called the "Cotton Candy Killer," who would kill people and then stuff cotton candy sticks up their butts, and then paint their faces like clowns and he would get off on it. My cousin told me the killer got caught because he was buying loads of cotton candy and people became suspicious of him, so they investigated and found out he was the one. Is this true? I've searched the internet for a "Cotton Candy Killer" and nothing has come up. Has anyone ever heard of him? If so, what was his name, and where can I find articles on him? Thanks for any help.

If HARRY POTTER's world does exist in our world, what would happen then? Will we become hostile or friendly toward THEM?

Let say that they somehow declare their existence right now. They wish to cooperate together with us to fight the common enemy together and they wish to share their knowledge with us. What would we do?

Will we accept them with open hand or such severe prejudice? Are we going to have such better civilization... or worse? What would happen to humanity as a whole then? What kind of world do you think would occur here (in our MUGGLE world) and there (in their WIZARDRY & WITCHCRAFT world)? Could science & magic just... get along?

We know that in the series, the Malfoys were very stinking filthy rich and always ridicule the Weasleys’ financial condition… but what if the situation were reversed?

What do you think this would affect Weasley-Malfoy relationship? Will this change the friendship between Harry and the Weasleys? Will this change the rivalry between Harry and the Malfoys? Is it a truly a big deal then?

In the orginal Cinderella story, her step-sisters hacked off parts of their feet to fit the glass slipper and in the end, had their eyes pecked out by pigeons.

And Snow White's Prince Charming was probably a necrophiliac that thought she was a corpse.

...and there's so many more!

What do you think?

I was staying with a friend of mine. She lived in an old run down house that was converted into two apartments. One night I thought I saw my friend walking down the hallway to the kitchen. I went to follow her and no one was there. It freaked me out. I had to leave. Especially after a few days earlier I caught her daughter talking to herself in her room. (She was 3 at the time) She even had a name of the lady she was talking to. I couldnt go back to their apartment. What is your experience?
