I would say yes. My cat was acting really strange one time and then my 18 mth old daughter said," Uncle Larry" and was looking towards the door. We later found out that uncle Larry had died a few hours before in Texas.

Some people believe yes they can and some people mainly scientist who believe in nothing but cold hard facts will say that a cat has such Finley tune senses that when they are staring off into space or playing with nothing it is just a sensory overload but if you think they can sense spirits then yes they do but if you are not sure there is another option for you

Yes, that is one reason why I keep the cats around. I have had some bad experiences with ghosts, and the cats make the ghosts relax a little. In fact I have a cat that the past two times that I miscarried she was majorly lovey and very cuddly to me the nights that I did lose the baby...she is normally a very freaked out spaz cat that gets scared at her own shadow.

Yes, and they will occasionally play with the spirit of other cats. At least mine do. Muffy died about 6 years ago, and even I will see her out of the corner of my eye. I often see Kissy staring in that direction, them she will pounce at what seems to be nothing but thin air. Cats are like little children, they have not been taught that spirits (ghosts) don't exist.
