Here's some additional tidbits. I'm a gay guy and I have a crush on one of my female friend's boyfriend. I've always had suspicion about him being gay himself. Not sure and haven't asked. I'm also in the closet. In the dream, he was laying on a bed and I kissed him.

Eklavya was dedicated to being a great archer. He made Drona his guru by worshiping his image. When Drona asked for his fee it was to have Eklavya's thumb. He readily complied.

Eklavya is a model of devotion and sacrafice. He loved his master with all his heart.
================================

The above was the best answer.. yes. indeed. But, Why would a "thumb" given off make him be any "second" to arjun. I'd say, Eklavya could still used his "index" and "middle" finger together to make his thumb. When I do archery, I have performed equally or better with the arrow kept between my index and middle as I could between my thumb and the index.

So, why and where are the great indian argumentative minds?.. what are they doing to answer such technicalities in mahabarata. reasoning for negatives is one thing, factoring the positives is the best thing, but to advance mahabarat to new age, an emphatic answers to technical questions makes the story go a longer distance into the future.
