My daughter had an imaginary friend that she took with her everywhere for about 2 years. From the time she was between 2 and 4 years old. Her "friend's" name was Wendy and she was a little girl. Her "friend" lived with us and went places with us. I had to buckle her in and buy her food at the grocery store.

I have an imaginary housemate named Les Lopez (female). She lives with me and subscribes to some magazines and gets on some mailing lists that I'm interested in but don't want to be associated with. I'm a little paranoid, that's why I need her.
My daughter used to have a boy ghost named Filthy Dirty and a girl winged monster named Saeplet. I still talk to them sometimes.

I had four when I was little - two dogs and two eagles. They lived with me, constantly, as far as I can remember. Their names were Pip and Catch (the dogs) and Goldie and Baldie (the eagles). OK, so the names aren't the most imaginative in the world, but hey, I was three.
