A lot of people also believe in big winged people as tall as you are. They call them Angels.

Angel Believers tell me that Angels are guardian spirits for people.

Fairy Believers tell me fairys are guardian spirits for plants and animals.

If you believe in spirits why not believe they come in all sizes?

That's like saying the Greeks were stupid for believing in a Pegasus (Winged Horse).
It is Mythology, usually pertaining to Celtic Tribes (Gypsies + Nomads) who still believe in the old ways.
Many new age religions still believe in fairies as well.
It's not necessarily that they believe little winged creatures are physically running around, but metaphorically - in a religous sense.

There's lots of things in this world that we take for granted that are real, why not fairies? It makes me feel sad when I hear a child say that they are not real. It's like someone taking innocence away.
