What would you like to become if you wanted to change your life circumstance and it only took the time it takes for a butterfly to go from egg to pupa and then break out of its cacoon?

1)............If a cat falls, it will always land feet first
2)........... A dropped slice of buttered toast will always land butter side down

My Q:....If you strap a slice of toast (butter side down) to the back of a cat, then raise the assemblage to say 2 metres and drop it, which way up will it land?

Don't post anything!

Let's see how many of us show up here tomorrow? I know I'll be looking for that little spooky little girl on my ceiling tonight along with the rest of you. Somehow, I think it will be a no-show...

A girl died in 1933 by a homicidal murderer. He buried her in the ground when she was still alive. The murdered chanted, "Toma sota balcu" as he buried her. Now that you have read the chant, you will meet this little girl. In the middle of the night she will be on your ceiling. She will suffocate you like she was suffocated. If you post this, she will not bother you. Your kindness will be rewarded.

There. She's not gonna come after me now. Sorry to whoever reads this!!

Hi, I'd like to know if you know the titles of any ancient myths about a hero who is an underdog (ex: someone weak, poor, etc. rising to glory, fame, or heroism)

Thanks so much! :)

Hello, all. I know this situation is *so* typical. I have a research paper to do on the positive effects of fairytales and fantasy literature on children. I've found a lot of great info at SurLaLune to get me started, and I'm not trying to use this board as an escape from doing the research myself, but the children's librarian at my library had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if they had "The Last Unicorn". Should I avoid citing Bruno Bettelheim completely? I don't want my professor to think I'm foolish for citing a source who's been famously discredited. I need advice about where else I can look for good reference materials.
Any advice at all would be much appreciated; it's been 10+ years since I've done a thesis paper, and I want this one to be good. It's 35% of my grade.

Boy, aren't there some nutters out there in YA land? Here a few I've seen in the last 5 minutes: all vaccines are bad for you, 9/11 was not caused by muslim extremists, crop circles are by aliens (yes, some people still believe that old one!), man never landed on the moon!

Did they ever hear Sagan's famous words "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence"? Obviously not!

I vote we ask for a new catagories section 'Conspiracy theories'.

Please. if satan was created by a perfect being, there wouldn't have been a seed or possibility of a seed of pride in him.
And besides, being that God is omniscient, He'd have known that satan was flawed before creating him. So are we saying here that god just wanted an arch enemy to kick around for eternity? And if that's the case, being that satan is rebellious wouldn't he have been a good little angel just out of spite?
