Sonnet 73 :
That time of year thou mayst in me behold
_______
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
_______

Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
_______
Bare ruin'd choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.
_______
In me thou seest the twilight of such day
_______
As after sunset fadeth in the west,
______
Which by and by black night doth take away,
________
Death's second self, that seals up all in rest.
________
In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire
_______
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
_______
As the death-bed whereon it must expire
_______
Consumed with that which it was nourish'd by.
_______
This thou perceivest, which makes thy love more strong,
_______
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.
_______

Or is it as random as it seems to be?

I read a lot of books - i also read a great book the other day!

pour (a drink)
poor (no money)
pore (skin)
paw (animal foot/hand)

saw (tool/seen something)
sore (hurt/pain)
soar (like a bird)

all pronounced the same but spelt differently - if we put it like "sour" though we're descibing a lemon or something!! there's loads of stuff like this in our language, no wonder people struggle.

I am looking for the most sweet, most beautiful phrase (in your opinion) in the Dutch language for a soul-mate, a beloved for whom you have always been destined. Your ideal of true love, your ideal match in both character, soul, and sexual attraction.

I know we sometimes argue, and
I sometimes blow my lid.
But I still love you very much:
I'm only just a kid.

Sometimes I need to push against
The fences you erect,
Even though I know they're there
To shelter and protect.
I know you want the best for me
And to keep me from all harm.
I just want you to know I couldn't
Have a better mom.
