'Percipere' is the infinitive of the verb 'percipio' and it literally means to secure, to gain, to perceive, to feel , to learn.

'Percipi' is the 1st person of the indicative perfect of the same verb and hence it means I secured,I gained,I perceived,
I felt, I learnt .
