Just "Jones" doesn't look very Welsh. And I didn't think the letter J existed in native Welsh words.

I'm going to Japan this summer to visit my cousins and family. My cousin speaks English, but I'd like to learn some Japanese before I go there... I know some Japanese enough to conduct a conversation [Well, I think...] & I want to expand a little more. What I need is someone who's Japanese [or at least speaks the language well] that can teach me? I would really be thankful.

Is this because dogs also "speak" different languages?
Or, because... what?

How about British, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Indian and Chinese dogs? How do they bark? If you know, let me know. Bank Q Wayrie Vuch in Dadovance!

the best solution if the necessary resources were available, would be to set up an extensive network of help centres for the street children of peru. Where they could go for help, advice and a place to stay to keep them off the street. The main goal to secure them a job and improve their education.

An accurate translation would be ideal. thanks ;)

Hello everybody,

Can somebody tell me how would you translate into English the phrase "Performant et discret"?
I have seen they use that phrase a lot in French but electronics, like digital cameras, printers, etc.
This phrase is being used to describe a biodegradable soap, so what would be the best translation in English?

Thanks a lot! You all make my life easier :-)

Hello!

I´m learning for an English test and I allways make the same mistake:

paralized or paralised? Immortalized or immortalised?

How do I know if I have to write "s" or "z" when using the suffix "-sed/-zed"?

In the leo dictionary, both seem to be right but I always get them corrected in my essays!

Thank you!!

PS: The "Check Spelling" function didn´t correct them either.

When sifting through questions and answers, I see that a lot of the people's grammar sucks. How hard is it to (at least) put a capital letter at the beginning of a sentence, and a period at the end? This especially makes someone look foolish when they are trying to make some quick witted remark. I can understand a typo here and there, and I also know some of the people who post here aren't native English speakers.

I've seen children who post post here have better grammar then the adults. Why is this??????
