Is this because dogs also "speak" different languages?
Or, because... what?

How about British, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Indian and Chinese dogs? How do they bark? If you know, let me know. Bank Q Wayrie Vuch in Dadovance!

I have an idea.......

Perhaps dogs are a lot like people in this regard. People in Different areas sound different in many regards. However...put a few of them together for a long period of time, and they'll begin to sound like each other. I guess it's similar to the accent one picks up while in a different country than his/her own for a while. I know. I almost picked up a Japanese accent while in Japan.

Although, until we can translate what dogs are saying....perhaps we will never know.

This is just a theory after all. lol

I've seen the answer to this in a kids book, I'll see if I can find it, I know we have it. It all comes down to the translation of the different languages. Different emphasis on different letter sounds.

In Germany dogs say "Wau wau." and "Wuff wuff."
I guess the first one for tiny dogs and the second one for little bit macho dogs (?).

My 4 years old niece always said "I want a wau-wau." to explain she wants a dog.
