Somebody please tell me where conscientious attention for correct spelling and grammar have gone??? There is a difference between "there", "they're" and "their". Also between "its" and "it's". AND between "your" and "you're". Has spell check dumbed us down? (Not, that anybody seems to use it...) Does it not irritate anybody else???

I have studied japanese language for past two and a half years at a university. I dont have any japanese friends so don't get much opportunities to speak. I would like to improve my overall japanese language skills speacially spoken. As i am fluent in day to day conversation in japanese, but want to improve on a broad range of topics (business, technical terminology etc). Please suggest some good websites where i can get online speacialized dictionaries in Japanese to English and vice versa.

As has been said, Chinese is the most difficult and challenging language in the word, while English is the easiest and simplest.

As for myself, a Chinese, i found it really hard to take this up from my experience.

I am a student of an university located in south China, majoring in Software Engineering. See, as a future IT worker, with a society full of competion is expected by tomorrow , English skills would be extremely essential for me.

I've been struggling very hard to improve it last year, and the reasult turned out to be depressed. The problem is, I still can not express my ideas freely while talking, can not recall some "critical" words while expressing, can not write down the words without speeling mistakes while wrinting, can not get the clear information while listening!

This is really frustrating, my hard works turn out to be a waste of time and sweat. Just now i accidentally log on this web site, and completed the registration, finding some help... SOS~~~

Hi,
I've asked this before but I now have a new dilemma. Uni is only 5 months away and I still don't know which language to do.
I am definitely doing German because well, I just love it and I already know how to speak / write / read it. But I don't know whether to do Polish, Italian or French along with it.

All have advantages but when I decide I want to do one, I always change my mind. I'm interested in learning all of them and therefore it's why my decision is so hard. Can you tell me your reasons / opinions of what you think would be the better option? Maybe you're Italian, French or Polish and could shine some light on your culture? I'm just looking for some advice and I'd be very grateful!
