when I lived in French I found it very useful to speak with a French accent: it made my French more comprehensible to the native French-speakers, and therefore I was slightly less annoying to them.

I use ti have a french accent when i first move to the us after 15 years it's gone and i miss it being different is always better than blending in
I love all accents except southern ones
So no i don't think french accent are annoying i think it's sexy actually

Hey, I have grown up without hearing more than 5 or so French people speak in person. When I hear it, no matter if male or female, it is absolutely beautiful to me. The females sound gorgeous and the guys charming and suave.
I did grow up somewhat in the country and now live in the city, so my lack of exposure is somewhat understandable, but really, I LOVE it. The quote from the second Matrix movie is really quite accurate for me. I won't quote it though, because I don't like swearing.

If you're speaking English, it can be, but it depends on who you're talking to and how good the accent is. If you're speaking French, then you had better be trying to sound like them, b/c they'll have a harder time understanding you otherwise.
