Lemme see, cakes is gateaux... Gimme a sec

Starters is l'entrées

main course = le plat or plat principal

Greek main course = Plat national des Grecs

roast chicken = poulet rôti

seasoned barbecued meat = viande grillée tout entier chevronnée

greek salad = salade grecque

pastries = pâtisseries

honey and nut pastry = pâtisserie de miel et d'écrou

cakes = gâteaux

greek style coffee = café grec

Pheeew! That took some doing!

Cheers!

Simon Templar

OMG, Claire must've used Babelfish!

LMAO!

She's got Starters literally translated, but the killer was "Greek caviar with bread, petrol [for oil] and onions"!?

Simon is right except for this :

Starters is "les entrées", not "l'entrées"

hot egg and cheese pastry = pâtisserie aux oeufs et fromage chauds

main course = plat principal

try using Babelfish on the web. It will loosely translate anything you type in to a variety of languages.
