I know what you mean, I'm Argentinean.
We eat a very light breakfast (not like Americans), lunch at noon, we have a light meal around 5:30 or 6:00 pm (milk, tea, cookies, our traditional "mate"), and we have dinner at around 9:30 or 10:00 pm at night. It sounds crazy to Americans, but its our custom. We have dinner very late at night.

Well, it depends in which part of Argentina, the north the south, east, west. But generally the base of Argentinean alimentation is bovine meat (although in recently that tendency has been changing and people are consuming more fruits and vegetables, and “healthy food”). That’s because it’s not so expensive, and it’s of a good quality. As the cows are not feed in feedlots but in feeds the meats has less fat and hormones. The meat is prepared in a variety of ways, also depending which cut is being used. The most popular side dishes for meat are mashed or baked potatoes, and salads. Chicken and lamb (the last one only in the Patagonia) are commonly used in meals. Another thing you’ll find in the alimentation is pasta, due to the great influence of the large Italian community that immigrated during the first and Second World War. The variety is great and the most popular are vermicelli, ñoquis and stuffed pastes like sorrentinos, canelones and lasagnas. Another popular choice is pizza.
The typical (Creole) Argentine dishes are empanadas (a closed pie stuffed with meat, cheese and ham, onions or other vegetables) fried or baked, “matambre”, a meat roll stuffed with peppers, eggs and vegetables. The regional kitchen also counts with locro (a kind of stew), and carbonara.
